"On the Ning Nang Nong" is a poem by the comedian Spike Milligan. The poem caught my attention because of its title. The poem brought a wide smile upon my face. All those onomatopoeias make it sound so childish, yet so musical in a sense. It strongly reminds me of the some of the similar chants we used in the childhood games. It's actually such an adorable poem.
This nonsense verse, set to music poem became popular in Australia where it was performed weekly on the ABC children's programme Play School, however, it is now only shown on occasion. Only the highly original mind of one such as Spike Milligan would create such a joyously, busy, noisy write. I enjoyed reading and fantasizing about the metaphors and personification sequences. I loved its sense of humor, my childhood comes to thought every time it's read. There isn't too many words to describe this poem but to me, Spike Milligan is brilliant and generous poet.

I chose to do a biography on Future also known as "Future Hendrix" or "Astronaut Kid". Future is a songwriter and music artist. He can do both, sing and rap. Future was born with the name Nayvadius Wilburn in Atlanta, Georgia on November 20th, 1983, but he has now legally changed it to Nayvadius Cash. In order to pursue his music career, Future agreed to sign certain record labels such as, Freebandz Entertainment, A1 Recordings, and Epic Records.
Future's stage name came about after certain members from the Dungeon Family kept calling him “The Future”. They also nicknamed him “Meathead”, but more than likely he was going to go with the name “Future” over “Meathead”. The Dungeon Family also had a big impact on Future as he learned a lot from them while he watched them work in the studio. One of Future’s cousins, Rico Wade, who is a producer and the founder of the Dungeon Family, was one of the main people that helped the Astronaut Kid start writing and choose a career path in rap. If I could ever meet Future or even go to a concert of his, I would definitely diiieeeeee! Love isnt even the word to describe my feelings towards Future. I would marry him today if I could. Even though i'm exaggerating a little, I do love him as a artist, producer, and human being. The Sun and his sister, the Moon, lived together in the galaxy of the east. The Sun dressed himself to go hunting and took his bow and arrows and left. He was absent such a long time. When his sister came out into the sky to look for her brother, she became alarmed. She traveled twenty days looking for the Sun. Finally he returned, bringing with him a bear which he had shot. The Sun's sister still comes up into the sky and travels for twenty days. Then she dies, and for four days nothing is seen of her. At the end of that time, however, she returns to life and travels twenty days more.
I chose the Hesakiha McCoy story as my news article. This is a tragically sad situation. Hesakiha was a 18-year-old black male, that attended NCCU as a freshman. The young teen was found dead in his dorm room, hanging from his door. According to my resources, the reporters say that his murder was a suicide. Hesakiha was very handsome. He loved, cared and appreciated each of his classmates. He was also described as a very popular, energetic freshman with a promising future. Unfortunately, Hesakiha's mother, Lakesha Martin, thinks that her son's death was a homicide. She says "This is not a child that would kill himself." "My son was very outgoing. He was just talking to me about how happy he was about college, playing football, having a college life. My son worked real hard to get to college." Ms. Martin also says that her son was a target of some bullies on social media. While the suspects foul play, some university leaders say that they are unaware of any reports of bullying and complaints. Although they have no evidence, i'm pretty sure that mothers knows best when it comes to their children. I strongly hope that the Durham Police Department is assisting the school's campus more often. There will always be a "Why?" to the family. They definitely should keep a close eye out and find justice for Hesakiha McCoy.
Tying a poor, innocent dog up to a church fence is definitely a tragedy. Thats just wrong. How could someone have the audacity to do such a thing? That's like tying up a life to a fence and leaving it there to die. The dog was nothing but skin and bones and looked like he was dying for something to eat or drink. He looked so fragile that you could just grab his leg and snap it right in half. I have 4 dogs at home and I definitely wouldn't want to see this situation happen to any of them.
I definitely disagree with Stereotyping. Stereotyping is an stereotype itself, if you know what I mean. Whenever I do hear a stereotype I never feed into the opinion. I hardly ever believe in them. I've once experienced bullying myself. I was being picked on for not fighting. I was a "punk", so they say. Stereotypes maybe be true for certain people but not for all. For example; "All men are smarter than women." I most definitely disagree with this statement and it is certainly false. It doesn't matter what race, color, or gender you are there will always be someone that's smarter than you. I actually know a few women personally that's delightfully intelligent, and maybe smarter than 25% of most men. So stereotypes aren't always true but that's just my opinion. Racism. Racism is the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. When I hear the word racism I think of black & white citizens against each other. Racism legally ended about 40 years ago due the civil rights movement. However, it still lasted for about 10-20 years after that.
One case of racism was called the "Trayvon Martin" sentence. He was a 17-year-old boy who was fatally deceived by a white man named George Zimmerman. He almost got away with killing an young innocent life. He was shot walking to his father's house because of the color on his skin. He took a life carelessly and recklessly and shouldn't deserve to have his entire life walking around on the street free. Another tragic reason for racism being such a big issue now-a-days are the racist police officers. Police officers are getting away with killing innocent lives as well. A black male named "Oscar Grant" was killed by a white police officer named Johannes Mehserle. He was shot at a train station in California. The police officer shot the poor man in the back while in handcuffs. Lots of people stood by to witness the devastating scene. The police officer never lost his job and only served 11 months in jail. This situation was so sad and inspiring, that there was a movie made in memory of Oscar Grant. The movie was called "Fruitvale Station". I cry everytime I see the tragedy. I definitely can't imagine how his family took the tragic situation. Lastly, the "Michael Brown" case was similar to the last situation I mentioned. Michael Brown was a 18-year-old black male that was shot and killed by the Ferguson police department. It's just sad because of how many lives that are being taken from the world at such an early age all over certain situations that could've been prevented. I feel like us a world and community will never get to the point where racism will stop. It may or may not change, we'd just need the right leader to lead us during the right time. My perfect weekend would definitely involve a vacation to Paris, France. It has always been my dream to travel outside of the country. Being on the other side of the world opens my eyes up to new and better things. Flying there would be the best part. I could just imagine the beautiful, delightful scene. I'd shop, eat at all the best restaurants, take pictures and much more. I'd cherish every moment of it. I would take my boyfriend, his sister, and her boyfriend. We'd double-date! My family members would just have to be upset because I would not take any of them. No offense but we'd have a blast and that would make my perfect weekend.
